The Business Analyst will support a large-scale technology modernization initiative focused on replacing legacy systems with an integrated, cloud-based platform. This role will bridge business and technical teams by analyzing processes, defining requirements, supporting solution testing, and helping improve operational efficiency and the user experience.
What are the responsibilities?
As a Business Analyst, you will:
- Partner with business stakeholders to evaluate existing workflows, identify challenges, and design more efficient processes.
- Develop process maps, workflow diagrams, and other documentation that clearly communicates business operations and proposed improvements.
- Convert business objectives into functional specifications, user stories, acceptance criteria, and actionable work items for development teams.
- Work closely with product owners, developers, IT resources, and business teams to clarify requirements and maintain alignment throughout implementation.
- Create and execute functional testing plans, scripts, and procedures to confirm solutions meet defined business needs.
- Coordinate user acceptance testing (UAT), document defects, monitor remediation efforts, and validate completed fixes.
- Provide clear communication around project progress, risks, and issues while contributing to training resources and end-user documentation.
What are the requirements?
- Professional experience in business analysis, workflow evaluation, process documentation, or a comparable discipline.
- Strong analytical abilities with a demonstrated approach to identifying issues and developing practical solutions.
- Ability to produce easy-to-understand process maps, diagrams, and workflow documentation.
- Experience developing user stories, functional requirements, acceptance criteria, and test scenarios.
- Working knowledge of Azure DevOps or comparable tools used to manage development work items.
- Practical experience performing functional testing and coordinating or supporting UAT activities.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to facilitate discussions across business and technical audiences.
