  • Proficiency with Office tools and collaboration platforms (Confluence, JIRA, Visio).

Responsibilities

  • Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation.

Position Overview

VivSoft Technologies is seeking a Business Analyst to support a federal program by gathering requirements, analyzing business processes, and helping bridge the gap between stakeholders and technical teams. This role is well-suited for someone who is detail-oriented, communicates clearly across technical and non-technical audiences, and enjoys turning ambiguous problems into clear, actionable solutions.

Key Responsibilities
  • Gather, document, and validate business and functional requirements from stakeholders
  • Translate business needs into clear requirements documentation, user stories, and process flows
  • Analyze current-state processes and identify opportunities for improvement or automation
  • Collaborate with developers, product owners, and project managers to ensure requirements are understood and implemented correctly
  • Support testing efforts by developing test cases and validating that delivered solutions meet business requirements
  • Facilitate meetings and workshops with stakeholders to elicit requirements and gather feedback
  • Create and maintain documentation, including process maps, requirement traceability matrices, and status reports
  • Assist with data analysis and reporting to support decision-making
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 6+ years of experience as a Business Analyst or in a similar requirements-gathering role
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to work across both technical and business teams
  • Experience documenting requirements, user stories, and/or process workflows
  • Proficiency with standard office and collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft Office, Visio, Confluence, JIRA)
