Wissen Technology is seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong Banking background for a role based in New York, NY. The AVP/VP title indicates senior leadership responsibilities in business analysis and project coordination within a hybrid onsite environment.

The candidate will drive analysis activities, facilitate Agile ceremonies, coordinate stakeholders, and support governance in a fast-growing technical consulting setting, working with top-tier clients in finance.

Role: Business Analyst

Title: AVP/VP

Location: New York , NYC, US

Mode of Work: 3 days/week onsite

Required Experience: 10+ years

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst with a strong Banking background to join our team. The ideal candidate will primarily drive business analysis activities, facilitate Agile ceremonies as a Scrum Master , and provide project coordination and stakeholder management support . Experience in banking risk, governance, or internal audit is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Business Analysis

• Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders, product owners, and technology teams to translate business needs into detailed user stories and acceptance criteria.
• Conduct impact analysis, gap analysis, and process mapping.
• Support solution design, UAT planning, and defect resolution.
• Ensure requirements align with business objectives and regulatory standards.
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies including Sprint Planning, Daily Stand-ups, Sprint Reviews, and Retrospectives.
• Remove impediments and help the team deliver sprint commitments.
• Promote Agile best practices and continuous improvement.
• Track sprint progress and communicate delivery status to stakeholders.

Project Coordination

• Assist in project planning, status reporting, and risk tracking.
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure timely delivery.
• Support project governance and stakeholder communications.

Required Skills

• 10+ years of Business Analysis experience.
• Mandatory experience in the Banking domain.
• Strong expertise in requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Hands-on experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Experience facilitating Scrum ceremonies and supporting Agile teams.
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Microsoft Office Suite.
