Job summary

Triwavesolutions in New York is seeking an experienced IT architect to lead system design and integration efforts. The role emphasizes designing solutions that meet security requirements and coordinating with stakeholders to implement enterprise systems.

You will develop specifications for databases, networks, and software configurations, and create detailed operation designs and deployment documentation to support ongoing maintenance and upgrades.

Qualifications

• Prior State of New York DSS experience is required.
• 8+ years of experience in systems design and IT architecture.

Responsibilities

• Develop system design specifications
• Prepare documents for general design of solutions that meet system and security requirements, including the selection of alternative approaches
• Develop specifications for databases, communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software configurations
• Develop structured diagrams for the specifications of databases, communication systems, computer or storage area networks, security or network programs
• Develop, compile, maintain and document configurations of the following: databases, servers, computers, security and network monitor systems, packaged programs, macros, utilities, and communication systems
• Develop system documentation
• Develop operational and installation procedures for communication systems, hardware, network, security, storage and software
• Develop guidelines and upgrade techniques of new operational procedures for the support of databases, hardware systems, operating systems software, network systems software, security and client server systems
• Develop detailed systems operations designs.
• Perform System Design/
• Work with staff (e.g, managers, senior programmers, support staff, product manager) to plan program systems implementation, enhancements and changes
• Create, test and maintain program systems
• Design reports, audit trails/logs, security mechanisms
• Provide assistance to technical support staff when they are unable to resolve a program, database, or IT issue by themselves
• Perform Testing/Evaluation
• Tests programs and systems and integrates system modules
• Develops, implements, and monitors information technology quality assurance standards
• Provide user support in identifying production system issues
