GeoDecisions - Business Analyst

GeoDecisions is currently seeking motivated individuals to join our team as Business Analysts. Candidates should be located near our office in Camp Hill, PA, or able to work remotely within PA and OH. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication and analysis skills, experience working with end users and technical teams to elicit and document requirements, and thrive in a high-energy environment.

Responsibilities:

1. Collaborate with multi-disciplinary project teams including software developers, GIS analysts, and subject matter experts.
2. Engage with clients to define requirements and document business workflows.
3. Support the analysis and documentation of As-Is and To-Be environments.
4. Participate in both agile and waterfall development processes.
5. Assist in creating training materials and delivering training sessions.
6. Document meeting minutes, business needs assessments, and perform gap analysis.
7. Develop user stories with detailed acceptance criteria.
8. Develop and execute test cases to verify system requirements.
9. Create mock-ups, wireframes, or graphics to illustrate requirements.
10. Work closely with developers to clarify requirements during development.

Minimum Qualifications:

• 4 years of relevant experience or equivalent educational background.
• At least 2 years of experience as a Business Analyst.
• Experience in business operations, workflow analysis, training, technical writing, or project documentation.

Required Skills / Experience:

• Strong desire to understand client businesses and ensure software solutions meet their needs.
• Basic understanding of data management processes and passion for working with data.
• Ability to gather requirements from clients and translate them into developer tasks.
• Effective team collaboration skills to meet project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and organizational skills.
• Proficiency with MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).

Preferred Skills / Experience:

• Experience analyzing client needs and developing solutions.
• Experience configuring software for end users.
• Building test cases and maintaining Requirements Traceability Matrices.
• Experience with Tableau, PowerBI, GIS/geospatial technology, Azure DevOps, or JIRA.
