Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst for a leading professional membership organization. The BA will own requirements gathering, user stories, process documentation, and stakeholder support.

This role collaborates with Product Managers, Society Relations, and technical teams to address data challenges and enable integrations across platforms. The position is a 6-month contract and fully remote, with an approved state list (CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, or VA).

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience in professional organizations or similar sectors.

• Strong requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management abilities.
• Experience with data definitions and data movement between systems.

Insight Global is seeking a Business Analyst for a leading professional membership organization. This individual will support initiatives focused on society engagement, association management systems, member experiences, data accessibility, and community platforms. The ideal candidate is a true Business Analyst who enjoys working in a BA capacity and wants to own requirements gathering, user stories, process documentation, and stakeholder support. This role is best suited for someone who wants to grow and excel as a Business Analyst rather than someone primarily looking to transition into Product Management. This individual will partner closely with Product Managers, Society Relations stakeholders, and technical teams to address challenges around shared and fragmented society data, improve access to member and charter holder information, and support integrations across platforms. Successful candidates will be dynamic, comfortable moving between different initiatives, and able to translate business needs into actionable technical requirements. This is a 6-month contract engagement to start (potential for extensions based on performance) and fully remote (candidates must sit within these approved states: CT, DE, DC, FL, GA, MD, MA, NJ, NY, NC, OH, PA, or VA. We can provide a starting hourly rate between $47 - $57 depending on candidate background.

Day-to-Day:

• Partner with Product Managers and Society Relations stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document requirements
• Create detailed user stories, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets for technical teams
• Analyze current processes and identify operational and data improvement opportunities
• Support society engagement, member experience, and AMS initiatives
• Translate business needs into functional and technical requirements
• Analyze fragmented/shared data across societies, platforms, and systems
• Determine what key data points mean, where they reside, and how they can support societies and members
• Improve access to member and charter holder information
• Work with Salesforce, APIs, and system integrations to understand data flows
• Support API analysis and validation, including work with Postman
• Validate solutions through testing, requirements reviews, and UAT
• Manage multiple initiatives and adjust to evolving business priorities

Must-Haves:

• 3-5 years of Business Analyst experience
• Strong requirements gathering and business analysis skills
• Experience writing user stories, acceptance criteria, and Jira tickets
• Experience with associations, membership organizations, societies, alumni organizations, nonprofits, or similar community-driven organizations
• Business process, workflow, and stakeholder requirements documentation
• Experience partnering cross-functionally with Product Managers, business stakeholders, and technical teams
• Strong understanding of data and system integrations, including data definitions and data movement between systems
• Experience supporting platform enhancements, system implementations, or digital transformation initiatives
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• Self-starter who can quickly adapt across multiple initiatives and changing priorities

Plusses:

• Association Management System (AMS) experience, especially iMIS, Nimble AMS, or similar platforms
• Understanding of APIs and API integrations
• Postman exposure for viewing, testing, or validating API data
• Experience working with fragmented or distributed data across multiple systems
• Experience supporting societies, professional associations, nonprofits, member organizations, or alumni engagement programs
• Experience streamlining data processes and system integrations
