Beacon Hill in Charlotte, NC seeks an experienced Business Analyst to support technology and business initiatives within Payments and Digital Banking. You will partner with project management, stakeholders, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze processes, and support testing and implementation.

The ideal candidate has strong BA fundamentals, plus experience in Agile environments, data analysis, Excel, and banking/payments domains. Hybrid schedule with onsite presence in Charlotte.

Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Business Analyst experience and related requirements gathering, documentation, and stakeholder management.
• Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong data analysis skills and ability to translate findings into actionable insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables and large data manipulation.
• Experience facilitating workshops, interviews, and business meetings.
• Ability to create detailed process flows and business process documentation.

Business Analyst – Payments & Digital Banking

We are seeking an experienced Business Analyst to support technology and business initiatives within the Payments and Transfers space. This role will partner closely with project management, business stakeholders, and technology teams to gather requirements, analyze processes and data, define solutions, and support projects through testing and implementation.

The ideal candidate brings strong Business Analysis fundamentals along with experience in Agile environments, data analysis, Excel, and banking/payments.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather, analyze, and document business and functional requirements through stakeholder interviews, workshops, and meetings.
• Analyze current business processes and develop process maps, workflow diagrams, flowcharts, and supporting documentation.
• Partner with business and technology stakeholders to identify solution options and evaluate feasibility.
• Facilitate communication and collaboration across business, technology, and project teams throughout the project lifecycle.
• Support Agile/Scrum activities, including user story creation, backlog refinement, requirements clarification, and collaboration with development teams.
• Analyze data to identify trends, issues, and opportunities that support business decision-making.
• Assist with project planning, testing, implementation, and delivery activities.
• Help ensure business requirements remain aligned with technical solutions and overall project objectives.

Required Qualifications

• 5–7 years of Business Analyst experience, including requirements gathering, documentation, process mapping, and stakeholder management.
• Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
• Strong experience creating user stories and supporting backlog refinement.
• Strong data analysis skills with the ability to identify trends and translate findings into actionable business insights.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including pivot tables, reporting, data manipulation, and analysis of large data sets.
• Experience facilitating requirements-gathering workshops, stakeholder interviews, and business meetings.
• Ability to create detailed process flows, workflow diagrams, and business process documentation.
• Experience partnering with both business and technology stakeholders.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Experience supporting testing, implementation, and overall project delivery.

Preferred Experience

• Previous experience within banking, financial services, payments, or money movement.
• Experience with consumer payment journeys and customer experience.
• Knowledge of payment types and platforms such as:
  • ACH payments
  • Real-Time Payments (RTP)
  • Account-to-account / Me-to-Me transfers
  • Person-to-person / Me-to-You transfers
  • Digital payments and money movement
• Familiarity with mobile and online banking platforms.
• Strong technical aptitude and experience supporting technology-focused initiatives.
• Charlotte, NC strongly preferred.
• Hybrid schedule with approximately 3–4 days per week onsite for Charlotte-based candidates.
