Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a dynamic Business Analyst with a Payments focus to bridge business and technology across our Charlotte/New Jersey operations in the US. You will gather and document requirements for payment processing, digital and card payments, and regulatory compliance, while driving modernization initiatives.

You will collaborate with stakeholders, define processes, create use cases and user stories, and ensure timely, high-quality delivery.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a relevant field.
  • 5+ years of experience as a Business Analyst in Banking, Payments, or Financial Services.
  • Strong understanding of end-to-end payment lifecycle and transaction processing.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, business process mapping, and functional specification documentation.
  • Knowledge of payment platforms, payment gateways, and transaction processing systems.
  • Experience with Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall delivery methodologies.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
  • Expertise in stakeholder management and cross-functional collaboration.
  • Experience with tools such as JIRA, Confluence, Visio, Azure DevOps, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Analyze existing payment processes and recommend improvements to enhance efficiency and customer experience.

  • Conduct gap analysis, impact assessments, and root cause analysis for payment-related initiatives.
  • Facilitate workshops and requirement-gathering sessions with stakeholders.
  • Partner with development and QA teams to ensure requirements are accurately understood and implemented.
  • Assist in UAT planning, execution, and defect management.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory and industry standards related to payments.
  • Prepare business documentation, reports, process flows, and presentations for leadership and stakeholders.

About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented professional with expertise in the Payments domain to bridge the gap between business stakeholders and technology teams. The ideal candidate will be responsible for gathering, analyzing, and documenting business requirements while driving initiatives related to payment processing, digital payments, card payments, payment gateways, and regulatory compliance. The role requires strong analytical capabilities, stakeholder management skills, and a deep understanding of end-to-end payment ecosystems.

In This Role, You Will

  • Understanding of card payment ecosystems, including Visa, Client, and acquiring/payment processing flows.
  • Familiarity with Open Banking, APIs, and digital payment solutions.
  • Exposure to fraud management, AML, KYC, and regulatory compliance requirements.
  • Certifications such as CBAP, CCBA, PMI-PBA, Agile BA, or Scrum certification.
  • Experience working in large-scale banking or payment transformation programs.

U.S. On Location / Hybrid

NTT DATA provides a reasonable range of compensation for U.S.-based positions. The starting pay range for this role is $60/Hr to $70/Hr. Actual compensation will depend on a number of factors, including the candidate’s relevant experience, technical skills, and other qualifications. This position is eligible for company benefits including participation in medical, dental, and vision insurance, flexible spending or health savings account, and AD&D insurance, employee assistance, participation in a 401k program, and additional voluntary or legally-required benefits.
