  • Identify functional gaps, conflicting requirements, redundant processes, usability issues, manual workarounds, regulatory constraints, and opportunities to simplify or improve application behavior.
  • Design future state application workflows and functional behavior, including user roles and permissions, task routing, approvals, reassignment, validations, notifications, escalations, exception handling, auditability, reporting, and operational controls.
  • Develop detailed business and functional analysis artifacts such as current state and future state process models, use cases, user stories, functional specifications, business rule catalogs, role and permission matrices, screen and field requirements, data definitions, interface requirements, reporting requirements, acceptance criteria, and requirements traceability matrices.
  • Evaluate functional design alternatives and clearly document recommendations, tradeoffs, dependencies, assumptions, constraints, and impacts on users, operations, data, integrations, reporting, etc.
  • Lead functional design reviews and walkthroughs, resolve requirements and design gaps, obtain stakeholder decisions and approvals, and maintain traceability from business need through design, development, testing, and implementation.
