Job summary

Orion Innovation is seeking a seasoned business analyst to lead complex data gathering, requirements analysis, and integration design for banking teller applications. You will collaborate with stakeholders, designers, and engineers to deliver API- and data-driven solutions that meet strategic goals.

The role requires 5+ years in tech and 3+ years in financial services with teller exposure, plus experience with RESTful APIs, Postman, and SQL within an Agile environment.

Qualifications

• Experience facilitating complex data gathering and design collaboration sessions.
• Proven track record with RESTful Services, APIs, Postman, SQL, and UI-based apps.
• Delivery of integration projects involving complex enterprise applications.
• Experience creating epics, features and user stories.
• Experience with some AI tools is preferred.
• Experience performing UAT and exposure to teller applications.
• Minimum of 5 years in the technology field.
• At least 3 years of business experience within the financial industries with teller exposure.

Responsibilities

• Independently facilitate complex data gathering sessions with stakeholders.
• Analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design integration solutions.
• Work with developers, architects, and QA to support API- and integration-based solutions.
• Create and manage Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria, and other Agile artifacts.
• Utilize Postman, SQL, and API testing tools to validate requirements.
• Analyze and document RESTful API integrations, data mappings, and workflows.
• Support UAT, including test planning, execution, defect management, and sign-off.
• Partner with business users to ensure delivered solutions meet objectives.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools to improve requirements gathering and analysis efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Key Responsibilities

• Independently facilitate complex business and data-gathering sessions with business and technology stakeholders.
• Analyze, document, and validate business, functional, and technical requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design solutions for complex enterprise integration projects.
• Work closely with developers, architects, and QA teams to support the implementation of API- and integration-based solutions.
• Create and manage Epics, Features, User Stories, Acceptance Criteria , and other Agile artifacts.
• Utilize tools such as Postman , SQL, and API testing tools to validate requirements and support solution delivery.
• Analyze and document RESTful API integrations, data mappings, and workflow processes.
• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), including test planning, execution, defect management, and stakeholder sign-off.
• Partner with business users to ensure delivered solutions meet operational and strategic objectives.
• Leverage AI-enabled tools, where appropriate, to improve requirements gathering, documentation, and analysis efficiency.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, backlog refinement, daily standups, reviews, and retrospectives.

Required Skills and Experience

• Mandatory: Demonstrated ability to independently facilitate complex data gathering and design collaboration meetings.
• Proven track record of working with RESTful Services, APIs, Postman, SQL technologies, and UI-based applications.
• Experience delivering integration projects involving complex enterprise applications.
• Experience in creating epics, features and user stories.
• experience using some AI tool preferred.
• Experience conducting UAT and some exposure to teller applications
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in the technology field.
• At least 3 years of business experience within the financial industries with prior exposure to Teller applications.

Preferred

• Experience in branch banking operations.
• Understanding and application of Agile development methodologies.
• Comprehensive knowledge of project lifecycle management best practices and controls.
• Experience: A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in the technology field is required.
