Job description

Data Catalog -Atlan

• Manage reference content in the catalog
• Manage certification and trust labels (tags)
• Maintain data domain ownership metadata
• Implement data migration from a legacy data catalog tool export file
• Implement process standards, including reconciliation, for metadata import
• Implement metadata import for new sourcesCoordinate and track access requests for metadata import
• Maintain and validate lineage
• Document missing lineage gaps
• Map lineage across tools (ETL → warehouse → BI)
• Ensure lineage coverage for critical data elements
• Support onboarding new users
• Provide ad-hoc customer support for issues, questions, and process errors

Required Qualifications

• 3 to 5 years of experience in data catalog implementation, data governance, data enablement, analytics enablement, or data operations
• Strong communications and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work with technical and non-technical colleagues
• Experience implementing new data governance best practices and processes, with an initial focus on data quality
• Experience expanding and enabling data catalog user engagement, for example, data owners, stewards, analysts, and analytics teams
• Hands-on experience implementing and managing data catalog assets and processes using Atlan,
• Collibra, Alation, Informatica or another equivalent data catalog application
• Understanding of modern data stacks (cloud data warehouses/lakehouses, BI tools
• Practical experience with business glossaries, metadata, lineage, and stewardship models

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience using Atlan data catalog and Monte Carlo data quality applications
• Experience using Databricks and the Databricks Unity Catalog
• Experience with Snowflake, Power BI, SSRS, Tableau, or Looker
• Familiarity with privacy, and regulatory concepts (PII, PHI, NPI, HIPAA, GLBA, etc.)
• Exposure to APIs, SQL, Python, or metadata automation
• Experience supporting enterprise data governance frameworks (CDMC, DMBOK, internal standards)
