Job summary

Anders is seeking a Business Accounting Senior in its Tax Department to prepare bank reconciliations, journal entries, year-end balances and financial statements for diverse clients. You will travel to local client sites and collaborate with a growing team to deliver accurate, timely results.

Ideal candidates hold a bachelor’s degree in accounting, 4+ years of experience, and proficiency in QuickBooks Online; familiarity with Xero, NetSuite or Sage is a plus.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred.
• 4+ years relevant experience; CPA a plus.
• High School diploma required.
• QuickBooks Online experience required; familiarity with Xero/NetSuite/Sage a plus.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist clients with monthly bank reconciliations.
• Prepare and assist with journal entries and general ledger maintenance.
• Prepare clients year end trial balances.
• Preparation of compiled financial statements and budgeting reports.
• Maintain fixed asset schedules and chart of accounts.
• Preparation of client sales tax returns.
• Process live client payroll accurately and timely.
• Preparation of client payroll tax returns, quarterly and year end.
• Preparation of client annual 1099 informational returns.
• Preparation of personal property declarations.
• Maintain an orderly accounting filing system.
• Maintain a system of controls over accounting transactions.
• Provide tax compliance and consulting services to individuals, partnerships and corporations in a variety of industries.
• Demonstrate the ability to efficiently research tax topics of intermediate complexity.
• Assist in managing and developing professional tax staff.
• Help develop, build and manage client relationships.
• Travel onsite to local clients as needed.

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Excellent written and oral communication skills
• Strong client service skills with the ability to interact with all levels of management
• Ability to work autonomously
• Strong organization skills
• Detail-oriented with QuickBooks Online experience; experience with other general ledger software, such as Xero, NetSuite, Sage, or similar platforms, a plus
• Proficient with MS Excel, Word, & Outlook
• Familiarity with cloud-based software applications

Your Qualifications

• High School diploma required
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting preferred
• 4+ years relevant experienceCPA a plus

The stated pay scale reflects the range that Anders reasonably expects to pay for this position. The actual pay rate for this position will be dependent on a variety of factors, including an applicant’s years of experience, unique skills and abilities, education, alignment with similar internal candidates, marketplace factors, other requirements for the position, and firm business practices.

Salary Range

$77,000—$88,000 USD
