CliftonLarsonAllen LLP (CLA) is seeking a Business & Accounting Applications Analyst to implement, support, and optimize accounting and business technology solutions used by CLA professionals and clients. The role bridges business needs, accounting operations, and cloud-based applications to deliver efficient, AI-enhanced processes.

The ideal candidate is curious, analytical, client-focused, and ready to work with stakeholders, vendors, and technical teams in a fast-evolving accounting tech

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree is required; combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.
  • 2 years experience in customer service support required.
  • 2 years experience in an area of application support, Helpdesk, Desktop Management, Mobile device/application support or similar IT experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with configuring and optimizing finance, accounting, expense management, and reporting applications.
  • Configure and maintain system settings, user roles, permissions, workflows, and application preferences.
  • Support application onboarding and data migration activities, including data mapping, cleansing, conversion, validation, and reconciliation.
  • Document implementation procedures, operational standards, and best practices.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and software vendors to identify and resolve implementation issues.
  • Help drive successful application implementations and technology-adoption efforts.
  • Support users throughout the implementation and onboarding process.
  • Serve as a subject matter resource for supported accounting and business applications.
  • Troubleshoot application, integration, synchronization, and user-access issues.
  • Investigate and resolve support requests while delivering a high level of customer service.
  • Escalate complex issues to software vendors or internal technical resources when appropriate.
  • Analyze root causes and recommend sustainable, long-term solutions.
  • Monitor application health, integration performance, and recurring support trends.
  • Build trusted relationships with internal teams and clients using supported applications.
  • Help users understand application features, functionality, and best practices.
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational efficiency through automation and process standardization.
  • Apply AI-enabled tools, including Microsoft Copilot, Claude, and similar technologies, to improve efficiency and work quality.
  • Create and maintain knowledge articles, troubleshooting documentation, implementation guides, and support resources.
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of internal knowledge resources and support processes.
  • Assist with evaluating new products, application features, and emerging technologies.
  • Help create scalable documentation, training materials, and application-support processes.
  • Contribute to CLA’s growing AI and digital transformation initiatives.
  • Recommend technology solutions that support accounting operations and broader business needs.

CLA is looking to hire a Business & Accounting Applications Analyst to join our growing team. The Business & Accounting Applications Analyst plays an important role in implementing, supporting, and optimizing accounting and business technology solutions used by CLA professionals and clients. This individual serves as a trusted technology advisor, helping bridge the gap between business needs, accounting operations, and modern cloud-based applications. The ideal candidate is naturally curious, highly analytical, client-focused, and passionate about using technology and AI-enabled tools to improve business outcomes. This position provides exposure to a rapidly evolving accounting technology ecosystem and opportunities to work directly with firm stakeholders, software vendors, and technical teams.

How You’ll Make an Impact
Application Implementation and Configuration
  • Assist with configuring and optimizing finance, accounting, expense management, and reporting applications.
  • Configure and maintain system settings, user roles, permissions, workflows, and application preferences.

Experience
  • Bachelor's degree is required. Combination of relevant experience, education, and training may be accepted in lieu of degree.

  • 2 years experience in an area of application support, Helpdesk, Desktop Management, Mobile device/application support or similar IT experience preferred
  • Familiarity With One or More of the Following Preferred ERP Systems: Digits, QuickBooks Online (QBO), Sage Intacct, Xero
  • Spend Management: Ramp, BILL, Expensify
  • FP&A: Fathom, Power BI
  • Other: Power Query, Power Apps
  • Preferred Experience Experience supporting or implementing cloud‑based business applications.
  • Experience working in a client‑facing or consulting environment.
  • Experience with ticketing systems, knowledge management platforms, or customer support processes.
