Role Description The Business Unit Assistant Controller is a full-time, on-site role based in Wausau, WI, supporting the financial operations of a designated business unit. This role assists in preparing and analyzing monthly financial statements, budgets, and forecasts, and ensures the accuracy of general ledger entries, cost allocations, and inventory valuations. The individual will support internal controls, assist with compliance and audit activities, and help maintain adherence to company policies and accounting standards. Day-to-day tasks include partnering with operations and management to interpret financial results, monitoring key performance indicators, identifying variances, and recommending corrective actions. The Assistant Controller will also participate in process improvement initiatives, contribute to strategic financial planning, and provide timely reporting and analysis to leadership.
