Job summary

Lizards Thicket Inc in Columbia, SC is seeking a dishwasher to maintain cleanliness of glassware, tableware, and cooking utensils, using machine and manual cleaning methods. You will ensure the dishwashing area is clean, safe, and sanitary.

Responsibilities include retrieving soiled dishes, sorting and rinsing, stacking and transporting clean items, hand-washing pots and pans, removing trash, and keeping floors dry. Full-time position with benefits and daily pay opportunities.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in restaurant dishwashing or cleaning roles.
• Ability to work in a team and maintain a positive attitude.
• Comfort with standing for long periods and repetitive tasks.

Responsibilities

• Retrieve soiled dishes from tables and bus pans in the dining room.
• Sort and rinse dirty dishes, glassware, tableware and other cooking utensils and place them in racks to send through dish machine.
• Sort and stack clean dishes and carry them to cook's line and other proper storage areas.
• Wash pots, pans and trays by hand.
• Remove trash and garbage to dumpster.
• Set up or break down dishwashing area.
• Sweep up trash around exterior of restaurant and garbage dumpster.
• Conduct general restaurant and restroom cleaning as directed.
• Wipe up any spills to ensure kitchen floors remain dry.
• Work with other staff as a team and always have a positive, upbeat, and energetic attitude.
