Job summary

Qualifications

• Knowledge of construction and operation of automotive electrical systems.
• Ability to locate and repair defects in vehicles.
• Experience with diesel or automotive mechanical work.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the maintenance, diagnosis, and repair of district vehicles.
• Perform services and repairs on school buses and district vehicles.
• Conduct inspections of equipment to determine safety status.

Skills

Knowledge of automotive trade practices

Ability to perform diagnostic and mechanical repair work

Ability to use tools and operate diagnostic equipment

Knowledge of OSHA standards

Ability to change and repair tires

Education

High school diploma or GED
