Job summary

Transdev in Nashua, NH seeks experienced and aspiring Bus Drivers to join a safety-focused team. Paid CDL training is provided, with later CDL Class A or B plus passenger and airbrakes endorsements required. We welcome CDL holders and non-CDL applicants ready to train for CDL.

Starting pay varies by credential status; union pay rate applies for credentialed CDL holders, with progression after one year. Benefits include PTO, holidays, 401(k), and medical/dental/vision coverage.

Qualifications

  • Must be 21 years or older.
  • CDL A or B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement required within 6 months.
  • Paid CDL training available for qualified non-CDL holders.
  • Must have held a valid driver's license for at least 3 years.
  • Minimum 3 years of driving experience (personal or professional).
  • Excellent communication & customer service skills.
  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible schedules.

Responsibilities

  • Safety-focused operations following routes and schedules with safety protocols.
  • Provide top-tier passenger care; ensure smooth boarding and timely disembarkation.
  • Vehicle vigilance via pre/post-trip inspections; report maintenance needs.
  • Uphold company policies, seat belt enforcement, and regulatory compliance.
  • Perform additional duties as required.

Transdev in Nashua, New Hampshire is hiring experienced and aspiring Bus Drivers to join our top-tier team in Nashua, NH! This is a fantastic opportunity to build a rewarding career with a competitive pay structure.

Paid CDL Training is provided, position later require CDL Class A or B with passenger and airbrakes endorsement. (We’ll help you get there!).

As a Bus Driver, you’ll ensure safe, reliable, and courteous transportation for passengers while representing the City of Nashua with professionalism and care.

CBA Position: (Union Collective Bargaining Agreement Pay Rate)

$26.52 per hour starting pay for Fully Credentialed CDL Holders with progression to $30.00 per hour after one year.

Non-CDL positions starting pay $21.22 per hour with potential to reach $30.00 per hour after one year if fully credentialed (as a CDL Diver) by that time.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Safety-Focused Operations: Execute flawless operations by meticulously following designated routes and schedules, while adhering to stringent safety protocols and traffic regulations.
  • Passenger Care: Exhibit exceptional care and assistance towards passengers, ensuring smooth boarding, comfortable rides, and timely disembarkation for all.
  • Vehicle Vigilance: Champion vehicle safety through comprehensive pre-trip and post-trip inspections, promptly reporting any maintenance issues, and maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and safety equipment readiness.
  • Adherence to Protocols: Uphold company policies and procedures rigorously, encompassing seat belt enforcement, emergency response preparedness, and compliance with regulatory mandates.
  • Other duties as required
Qualifications:
  • 21 years or older
  • CDL A or B with airbrakes and passenger endorsement required within 6 months

  • Must be able to work shifts or flexible work schedules as needed.
  • Subject to a DOT drug testing and physical if applicable. DOT Regulation 49 CFR Part 40 does not authorize the use of Schedule I drugs, including cannabis, for any reason.
Physical Requirements:

The essential functions of this position require the ability to:

  • Work outside in varying temperature, weather, and humidity conditions-100% of the job is performed outside, work alone and in remote locations.
  • Sit for extended periods (up to 6–8 hours per day); frequently walk for long distances and on possible sloped ground or slippery and uneven surfaces
  • Push and pull objects up to 50 pounds, occasionally throughout the workday; lift material weighing up to 50 lbs. with or without assistance; occasionally bend, kneel, or crouch to files or equipment stored at ground level
  • Withstand heavy traffic areas while performing the duties of the job; tolerate exposure to considerable amounts of dust, vehicle fumes and noise.
