Fayette County Public Schools (Tennessee) is seeking a Transportation Mechanic to provide comprehensive mechanic services for school vehicles, including repairs, preventive maintenance, and compliance with regulations. Candidates must possess or be able to obtain a CDL with P&S endorsement; the work includes documenting activities and supporting other mechanics on the shop floor.

Responsabilidades

• Provide mechanic services including repairs and preventive maintenance to school vehicles.
• Identify repair and replacement needs and complete assigned projects to standard trade practices.
• Prepare and maintain written logs and documents documenting activities and compliance with regulations.
• Drive a school bus when required and perform road checks to ensure safe operation.
• Assist other mechanics and ensure tools and materials are available at the job site.
• Respond to road calls about equipment and perform other duties typical for school mechanics.
