Job summary

Florence Unified School District Transportation seeks a skilled mechanic/driver to repair and overhaul buses and other vehicles. You may drive routes as needed and perform preventive maintenance to ensure safety and reliability.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED; AZ CDL; and preferred ASN/certifications for bus mechanics. The role offers full benefits and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Associate's degree preferred; CDL/Certifications valued.
• National Certification for Bus Driver Mechanic preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform tire changes, lubrication, vehicle wash and routine maintenance.
• Inspect vehicles and discuss repairs with Lead Mechanic.
• Raise vehicles for access to mechanical systems using jacks/hoists.
• Repair or replace components such as engines, transmissions, bearings.
• Overhaul carburetors, pumps, and electrical systems as needed.
• Drive bus routes if assigned and follow safety procedures.
