Goodyear is seeking a bus tire technician to perform safety-sensitive tire maintenance on city buses at customer locations. The role involves documentation, inventory management, and use of specialized equipment to ensure DOT compliance and reliable operation.

Qualifications

• High School or GED preferred.
• Previous commercial tire experience.
• Ability to perform a variety of manual tasks for extended periods including lifting tires and wheels.

Responsibilities

• Work at customer location designated tire shop with focus on tire safety and reliability.
• Document work performed with administrators and customer staff.
• Maintain customer tire inventory from cradle to grave using best inventory practices.
• Monitor tire maintenance using specialized software and digital devices.
• Maintain and repair customer tires following industry standards.
• Perform tire balancing, changes, regrooving, and inflation maintenance with appropriate machinery.
• Maintain a clean and safe shop environment.
