Goodyear is seeking a bus tire technician to service city buses, ensuring tires are reliable and DOT compliant. You will work at a customer location, collaborating with shop staff to perform maintenance, document work, and manage tire inventories.

The role emphasizes safety, hands-on tire balancing, wheel changes, regrooving, and inflation. Excellent on-the-job training is provided, with benefits beginning after a short introductory period.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED preferred.
• Ability to perform manual tasks for extended periods, including lifting.
• Commitment to following safety procedures and working safely.

Responsibilities

• Work at customer location designated tire shop with customers' mechanics, focusing on tire safety.
• Document work performed with administrators and customer staff.
• Maintain customer tire inventory from cradle to grave using inventory practices.
• Monitor tire maintenance through inspections and specialized software/devices.
• Maintain and repair tires per industry standards; balance tires and change wheels.
• Keep shop clean and safe; assist with regrooving and inflation maintenance.
