Job summary

Central States Bus Sales is seeking a full-time Utility Person for the Service Department at our Oswego, Illinois location. The role involves installing and maintaining dealer-installed components, detailing buses for delivery, and supporting basic mechanical work.

Responsibilities include operating light equipment, vehicle delivery, and assisting in repairs. A clean driving record is required; CDL Class B with Passenger and Air Brake endorsements are preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• Basic automotive maintenance experience preferred.
• Must have a clean driving record.
• CDL Class B with Passenger and Air Brake endorsement preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Install and maintain dealer installed components (i.e., audio visual equipment, radios, heaters)
• Detail and prep new and used buses for customer pick-up or delivery
• Operate motorized and light equipment including pickup truck, pallet jack, pallet lift and various hand power tools
• Change oil and filters in company vehicles and customer vehicles
• Clean facilities and perform routine maintenance to automotive repair equipment
• Assist in tire and mechanical repairs
• Assist in mechanical, sandblasting, painting, cleanup, and simple automotive work
• Delivery/shuttling of vehicles and parts
