Job summary

Resorts World New York City is hiring a Bus Person to stock, maintain outlet side stations, and clear/set tables across dining areas. You will ensure supplies, proper service setup, and adherence to sanitation standards while delivering friendly guest service.

Responsibilities

  • Stock service stations and maintain supplies.
  • Clear and reset tables, and set up stations.
  • Provide beverage and plate service as assigned.
  • Communicate seating needs with host/hostess.
  • Maintain cleanliness of tables, settings, floors.
  • Follow sanitation guidelines and procedures.
  • Attend meetings and trainings.
  • Present neat, clean appearance.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job Responsibilities

The Bus Person is responsible for proper stocking and maintaining the outlet side stations with necessary supplies; and clearing, setting tables in designated station. Essential Duties Familiarize with service standards for the restaurant, especially table setups, beverage service and pre-busing of tables. Clean and reset tables in accordance with established procedures and sanitation guidelines. Stock service stations, glasses, cups, silverware, etc. Clean restaurant, floors, carpet, service stations, etc. Monitor and ensure cleanliness of all place settings, tabletops, seats and floor. Leave money or guest checks on tables. Perform customer service duties as assigned (such as beverage and plate service). Communicate with host/hostess for seating needs and any guest service issues. Perform various stock supply duties to maintain par levels of all equipment and dining supplies. Comply with all department and company rules, regulations, policies, procedures, internal controls and government rules and regulations. Attends periodic meetings and training sessions. Promote positive public and employee relations. Present oneself in a neat and clean appearance at all times. Perform other duties as assigned.

Work/Educational Experience

Must be at least 18 years old and have the ability to obtain the appropriate license pursuant to the applicable statute, rules and regulations. Language Skills

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents, such as policy and procedure manuals and other related documents. Ability to respond to common inquiries from other Team Members or guests. Fluency in English required. Ability to write detailed instructions and correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one‑on‑one and small group situations.

Mathematical Skills & Reasoning Ability

Ability to compute complex mathematical calculations. Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference. Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. Ability to decipher various reports and maintains reports upon request with strong decision‑making and problem‑solving skills. Ability to work well under pressure and deadlines.
