Minimum Qualifications
  • Requires a high school diploma or equivalent. A Human Resources office can evaluate education/experience against required qualifications.
Position Summary

This is a benefits eligible, partial year position. Each selected incumbent will sign a partial year agreement. Employees returning to work from designated partial‑year leave periods are continued in the same position with no break in service and no change in the original hire date. Responsibilities include safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters, completing paperwork associated with assignments, following written and verbal instructions, occasional bus washing and other non‑driving tasks, and participating in required drug and alcohol testing conducted by the US Department of Transportation.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Demonstrate a safe driving record and good communication skills.
  • Ability to work with people of various backgrounds and skill levels.
Physical Demands
  • Sitting for long periods of time, pushing, pulling, and reaching.
  • Driving as required by job duties.
Responsibilities
  • Safe operation of buses on routes and occasional charters (80%).
  • Wash buses and perform other non‑driving related duties as expected from time to time (10%).
  • Complete paperwork associated with assignments (5%).
  • Attend safety meetings occasionally as scheduled (5%).
