Job summary

WeDriveU in Brockton/Framingham, MA is seeking an on-site passenger assistant to support safe shuttle operations. This role involves helping bus drivers manage passenger flow, assisting boarding and alighting, and ensuring secure seating and safety compliance during each trip.

The position requires 18+ years old, physical ability to perform duties, and participation in required trainings. It offers part-time hours (approx.

Responsibilities

• Support safe transportation by assisting the bus driver with passenger movement and care.
• Assist passengers entering or exiting the bus safely.
• Seat passengers with belts or restraints as needed.
• Monitor passengers to ensure safety regulations are followed.
• Document and report violations or conduct concerns to the appropriate authority.
• Evacuate passengers during emergencies and ensure belongings are taken.
• Keep the interior of the vehicle clean and presentable.
• Complete required paperwork and submit timely.
• Attend training and safety meetings; maintain professional conduct.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Mon - Fri (apprx 5 hours daily) / Must live in Brockton, MA or Framingham, MA

Responsibilities Include:

• To support the safe and reliable transportation of passengers by assisting the bus driver with the movement, management and care of passengers while they are being transported to an assigned destination as well as when they are boarding or leaving the vehicle.
• Assist passengers with entering or exiting the bus in a safe manner.
• Seat passengers safely using needed seat belts, car seats or wheel chair restraints, etc.
• Monitor passengers at all times to ensure safety regulations.
• Document and report any violations or conduct concerns to appropriate authority.
• Physically assist passengers in evacuation of the vehicle in case of emergency.
• Ensure that passengers take their belongings with them when leaving the bus.
• Assist Driver in keeping the interior of the assigned vehicle clean and presentable.
• Complete all required paperwork and submit to the appropriate employee/department in a timely manner.
• Display the highest ethical and professional behavior in working with fellow employees and supervisors; always promoting company goodwill.
• Present a neat and professional appearance at all times.
• Report to duty on time and perform all responsibilities in a safe manner.
• Attend all assigned training, safety meetings, and in-service meetings.
• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements Include:

• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must meet physical and medical requirements.
• Must satisfactorily complete and pass all training and attend safety meetings and in-service meetings in order to remain qualified.
• Must have a high degree of attention to detail and considerable dexterity to safely use various types of restraints, secure wheelchairs, etc.
• High level of professionalism and diplomacy skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to lift and assist students when necessary.
