Qualifications

• Knowledge of the laws, rules, regulations, policies governing the Department of Public Utilities.
• Knowledge of the North American Standard Out-of-Service criteria.

• Knowledge of agency forms and federal inspection processes.
• Mandatory FMCSA NASTI Certification Part A & B and Passenger Vehicle Inspection classes.

Responsibilities

• Analyzes records and documents of motor carrier companies to determine compliance with procedures and regulations.
• Audits motor carrier records to verify driver and maintenance documentation.
• Performs test evaluations to ensure compliance with safety standards and laws.
• Provides technical guidance on operating compliance and interpreting regulations.
• Develops information for regulations, forms, and manuals.
