Job summary

Pace, the Suburban Bus Division of the Regional Transportation Authority, is seeking a Diesel/Gas Vehicle Maintenance Aide to support the out-stationed bus fleet. You will record fuel and fluid information, perform servicing, and help with cleaning and groundskeeping in a garage setting.

This is a safety-sensitive, full-time role requiring a high school diploma, 1 year vehicle repair experience, and a valid B CDL with passenger and air brake endorsements; current CDL or ability to obtain is

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year diesel/gas vehicle repair experience or related technical training.
Must have or be able to obtain a valid B Commercial Driver’s License with passenger and air brake endorsements.
Ability to operate company equipment and knowledge of the service area.
Must be capable of lifting 75 pounds to waist height.

Responsibilities

Accurately recording fuel and fluid information.
Supporting the out-stationed bus fleet, operating and servicing (washrack/cleaner).
Emptying farebox vaults and taking farebox readings.
Parking and spotting vehicles and equipment.
Maintaining bulletins, flyers and other materials on vehicles.
Routine cleaning of vehicles, building, grounds, and equipment utilized in performing these duties.
Building custodial duties including snow removal, cleaning, painting, and groundskeeping.
Completing all required documents and reports for work performed.
Performing other duties as assigned or required.
