To transport students safely, efficiently and economically to and from school on a daily basis and to extracurricular events on a non-regular basis. Transport students to and from school following state and local regulations.
Education: Valid Virginia Driver’s License (Required). GED or High School Diploma (Required). Hold or obtain a Virginia Commercial Driver’s License with required endorsements (training provided).
Experience/Skills: Ability to communicate professionally with administration, staff, and the public; knowledge of state and federal regulations applicable to transportation of students; ability to operate radio communication when necessary; ability to operate all vehicle types used in transporting students.
Additional Requirements: Meet school bus driver certification requirements; meet state and local licensing and examination requirements; meet state physical examination requirements; pass National Red Cross First Aid Course.

Requires close, distance, color, peripheral, depth, and focus vision.
Frequently exposed to fumes, airborne particles, and outdoor weather conditions. Occasionally exposed to moving mechanical parts and vibration. Noise level usually loud.
10 month contract. Terms may vary based on the needs of the schools and division.
Performance will be evaluated in accordance with school board policy and administrative regulations on evaluation of personnel.
