Job summary

Fort Wayne Community School District is expanding its transportation team and seeking drivers to shuttle students across Fort Wayne. We offer paid CDL training and cover training costs, plus a $5,000 sign-on bonus for joining our fleet.

You'll receive ongoing support from FWCS transportation staff, guidance through the CDL process, and the chance to work with a dedicated team committed to student safety and timely on-time service.

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid CDL.
• Clean driving record and safe driving history.
• Ability to pass background and drug screening.

Responsibilities

• Transport students to and from school in a safe and timely manner.
• Operate school buses in accordance with district policies and safety rules.
• Maintain order and ensure student safety while on board.

Paid Training to Earn Your CDL

FWCS covers the cost of training to help candidates earn their CDL and required endorsements. Training is designed to fully prepare drivers for both the CDL exam and the day-to-day responsibilities of transporting students. During the training process, candidates may also be eligible for paid training time, allowing them to earn while they learn.
