Job summary

East Valley School District 361 in Spokane Valley, WA is hiring a part-time Bus Driver for 4 hours per day across 191 days per year. The roving position covers varied routes with hours 6:00-8:00 and 1:30-3:30, Monday through Friday, with additional time paid on a timesheet.

Starting immediately, the driver must pass a FBI/WSP background check, drug testing, DOT physical, I-9, immunizations, and hold a WA driver’s license or school bus certificate.

Qualifications

• Must pass random drug testing and a medical examination prior to training.
• Must successfully pass the Department of Transportation physical capabilities test.
• Minimum age of 21 years old.
• Required to have a valid First Aid card including CPR and HIV/AIDS procedures (district provided training).
• Successful Washington State Patrol and FBI fingerprint clearance.
• Valid Washington State driver’s license or evidence of mobility and valid Washington State school bus driver certificate.
• Proof of Immunization (if born 1/1/57 or later) preferred.
• I-9 Employment Eligibility in compliance with the Immigration Reform and Control Act.
• Completion of all district-required trainings within thirty (30) calendar days from hire date; CDL training may extend beyond 30 days.

*This is a \"roving\" driver position. The person hired into this position will work varying routes and schedules based on department need. This position will begin with a base pay of 4.0 hours/day and additional time will be paid off of a time sheet.

Salary: $24.23 - $28.69 dependent on placement
