Antioch Unified School District is offering a Trainee Bus Driver program. Under supervision, you will learn to operate a school bus on designated routes, follow schedules, and ensure student safety while gaining hands-on experience toward full certification.
This entry-level training requires no prior driving experience. Requirements include a valid California driver's license, DMV record, Live Scan, and medical/eligibility checks.
BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Transportation or designee, receives instruction for the purpose of acquiring the necessary skills to safely and effectively operate a school bus with designated routes within established time schedules.

This position is distinguished from the Bus Driver classification such that the Trainee position will be learning the primary duties of and working towards full certification and licensure to become a qualified School Bus Driver.
