Job Summary

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Transportation or designee, receives instruction for the purpose of acquiring the necessary skills to safely and effectively operate a school bus with designated routes within established time schedules.

BASIC FUNCTION: Under the direction of the Director of Transportation or designee, receives instruction for the purpose of acquiring the necessary skills to safely and effectively operate a school bus with designated routes within established time schedules. This position is distinguished from the Bus Driver classification such that the Trainee position will be learning the primary duties of and working towards full certification and licensure to become a qualified School Bus Driver.
