Job summary

Guadalupe Union School District is seeking an on-call school bus driver to operate a designated route and transport students, with supervision and in accordance with district policies.

The role requires a valid CDL, medical card, CA SR Endorsement, ARC First Aid, and completion of required classroom and behind-the-wheel training; TB/fingerprint clearance is required prior to employment.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to read and write sufficiently for duties.
• Must complete 20 hours classroom instruction for skills and safety.
• Must complete 20 hours behind-the-wheel training.
• Requires valid CDL, medical exam card, CA Special Driver Certificate with SR Endorsement.
• ARC First Aid Certificate.
• TB and fingerprint clearance required; documents must be legible.

Requirements / Qualifications

High School diploma or the equivalent. Ability to read and write sufficiently to perform all of the duties of the position, including understanding applicable laws, regulations, and codes required. Successful completion of 20 hours of classroom instruction related to skills and safety requirements for driving a school bus and successful completion of 20 hours of instruction behind the wheel of a school bus are required.

Requires valid Commercial Driver’s License; medical examination card; valid California Special Driver Certificate with SR Endorsement, and valid ARC First Aid Certificate.
