Job summary

Capital Area YMCA seeks a responsible Bus Driver to transport program participants to and from designated program and school sites in Trenton, NJ. One hour per week, Friday mornings, with flexibility during the school year.

The role requires a valid CDL with passenger endorsement, a clean driving record, and experience transporting children or groups. You will conduct inspections, log trips, and ensure safe boarding while adhering to laws and YMCA policies.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• CDL with passenger endorsement.
• Experience driving with children or group transportation.
• Available to work Fridays during the school year; roughly 1 hour (11am–1pm).
• Must pass background check and fingerprinting.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus and YMCA van.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintain transportation logs.
• Ensure the safe boarding and disembarking of passengers.
• Follow all traffic laws, DMV regulations, YMCA policies, and child safety protocols.

The Capital Area YMCA is seeking a responsible and safety-focused Bus Driver to transport program participants to and from designated program and school sites. • Safely operate a school bus and/or YMCA branch van
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections and maintaining transportation logs
• Ensure the safe boarding and disembarking of passengers
• Follow all traffic laws, DMV regulations, YMCA policies, and child safety protocols at all times and ensure risk reduction
