Job summary

Big Creek Mountain Communities Alliance is seeking a Bus Driver to operate a school bus on designated routes and field trips, transporting students safely and efficiently.

Role includes paid classroom and behind-the-wheel driving training to secure the required California licenses and certificates. A high school diploma is required, with duties performed under general supervision.

Qualifications

• Possession of a valid California Class A or B driver's license with passenger endorsement.
• Possession of a California School Bus Driver’s Certificate with no restrictions.
• Possession of a First Aid Certificate or passage of the California Highway Patrol First Aid Test.
• Possession of a valid CPR card.
• Possession of a Medical Certificate (Form DL 51 and DL 51A).
• Proof of HS Graduation

• Operate school buses on designated routes and field trips to transport students.
• Perform safety checks, refuel, wash and sweep vehicles and maintain cleanliness and readiness.
• Carry out related duties as assigned.

License and Certificate Requirements: – Possession of a valid Class A or B California Motor Vehicle Operator’s License. – Possession of a California School Bus Driver’s Certificate with no restrictions. – Possession of a First Aid Certificate or Passage of the California Highway Patrol First Aid Test. – Possession of a valid CPR card. – Possession of a Medical Certificated (Form DL 51 and DL 51A).

We will also pay for your classroom and behind the wheel training.

Bus Driver Under general supervision, operates school buses in the transportation of students over designated assignments and routes and on field trips; washes, sweeps, refuels and performs safety checks and inspections on assigned vehicles; and performs related duties as assigned. A valid California Class B driver’s license with a passenger endorsement, a good driving record and the ability to maintain insurability under the District’s vehicle insurance policy. A valid Special School Bus Driver’s Certificate issued by the California Highway Patrol. Possession of a Standard Red Cross First Aid Certificate. We will pay for your classroom and behind the wheel training to secure your class B driver’s license with a passenger endorsement.
