Casa Grande Elementary School District Transportation in Casa Grande, Arizona is seeking a Bus Driver to transport students on scheduled routes and excursions, ensuring safety and vehicle readiness.

Starting immediately, this is a 10-month school-year position with 25-40 hours per week. The role offers $19.40 per hour with benefits; training is provided. Candidates must pass a background check and random drug testing and be able to read, write and communicate clearly in English.

Responsibilities

• Advises students and other passengers of appropriate behavior
• Assesses incidents, complaints, accidents and/or potential emergency situations
• Assists students and other passengers
• Attends meetings, trainings, etc.
• Cleans assigned vehicles, both interior and exterior; conducts emergency evacuation drills
• Drives school bus(es)
• Fuels assigned vehicle, (e.g. oil, water, fuel, etc.)
• Performs pre-trip and post-trip inspections, (e.g. fluid levels, tire pressure, exterior condition, etc.)
• Prepares documents and reports, (e.g. field trip reports, incident reports, inspection records, passenger misconduct, mileage logs, student counts, etc.)
• Reports observations and/or incidents, (e.g. discipline, accidents, inappropriate social behavior, etc.)
• Responds to inquires, (e.g. students, parents, other school personnel, etc.)
• Supervises students and other passengers during transit
• Assists other personnel as may be required

Job Description

The job of the Bus Driver is done for the purpose of transporting students over scheduled routes and/or to/from special excursions; ensuring vehicle is in safe operating condition; and ensuring safety of students during transport, loading and unloading from buses.

Responsibilities include:

Experience is desired. Full time with Benefits - 25-40 hrs. per week. $19.40 Depending on Experience; w/Certificate. The District trains new bus drivers.
