Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Safely operate school buses and paratransit vehicles according to traffic laws, safety protocols, and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip inspections to ensure the vehicle is in optimal condition, including checking mechanical systems and safety equipment.
• Maintain a friendly, professional demeanor while communicating clearly with students, parents, school staff, and colleagues.
• Manage behavior effectively to promote a safe and respectful environment on the bus.
• Follow designated routes and schedules precisely, adjusting as needed for traffic or weather conditions.
• Assist students with boarding and disembarking, including those with special needs or requiring childcare support.
• Complete accurate logs of trips, incidents, and vehicle maintenance reports.

• Mechanical knowledge to perform basic vehicle inspections and troubleshoot minor issues
