Job summary

Responsibilities

• Safely transport students to and from school
• Perform safety pre-checks, report malfunctions, and maintain a clean, safe environment for students
• Follow school district procedures while driving assigned bus routes
• Adhere to a set route ensuring a consistent daily pick up/drop off schedule
• Manage student behavior on the bus and resolve incidents with appropriate actions
• Report inappropriate behavior to school authorities as soon as possible
• Know NC driving laws and regulations including safe bus operations

Job Description

• Responsible for safely transporting students to and from school
• Responsible for safety pre-checks, reporting malfunctions, handling vehicle breakdowns and maintaining a clean and safe environment for students.
• Responsible for following school district procedures while driving assigned bus routes
• Responsible for following a route (set by Transportation Director) that ensures a routine providing students and parents with a consistent and daily pick up/drop off schedule.
• Responsible for students' behavior while on the bus and take suitable action to resolve incidents between/among students should incidents occur.
• Responsible for reporting in appropriate behavior to school authorities as soon as possible
• Responsible for knowing NC driving laws and regulations including safe bus operations
