Job summary

City Of Madeira Beach is seeking a bus driver to transport program participants safely between sites. You will complete daily trip logs, conduct pre- and post-trip inspections, and maintain bus cleanliness.

Responsibilities include operating the child safety alarm system and ADA ramp, with opportunities to work nights, weekends and holidays as needed. A valid CDL-B with Passenger endorsement and CPR/First Aid certification are required or obtained within 90 days.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Pediatric CPR/First Aid certification or within 90 days of employment.
• Current and valid Florida CDL-B Driver's License with Passenger endorsement.
• Must maintain an acceptable driving record.
• Must pass a medical exam for commercial driver fitness and fingerprinting/background screening.

• Perform weekly maintenance including interior and exterior cleaning.

Role and Responsibilities:An employee in this class is responsible for driving a multi passenger vehicle (bus, van, minivan, etc.) to transport program participants safely from one location to another. Work is normally performed under the general supervision of a higher classified employee who issues written and oral instructions.
