Job description

Skilled work in operating light buses and/or vans, transporting clients to and from contracted vendors and designated locations. Working exclusively with The Kidz Club PPEC to transport children from birth to 21 with complex medical needs.

Responsibilities

1. Complete the training program within 30 days of employment, including hands-on training with another driver and an online training course.
2. Transport clients following a pre-planned route and schedule, communicating effectively with parents and staff.
3. Drive cautiously and in compliance with traffic regulations.
4. Ensure passenger safety during loading, unloading, and transportation.
5. Follow Passenger Assistance guidelines and passenger restraint procedures.
6. Operate manual and remote-controlled wheelchair lifts.
7. Manage bus heating and ventilation for passenger comfort.
8. Log vehicle inspections, cleanliness, and report any issues.
9. Perform weekly checks on water, gas, oil, and mechanical conditions.
10. Report delays, accidents, or vehicle defects immediately.
11. Maintain operational records and ensure regular vehicle maintenance.
12. Perform vehicle cleaning and related tasks as needed.

Pay Range: $18 - $20
