Job summary

Providence School of Jacksonville is seeking a dedicated School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from activities. You’ll be a trusted guardian, ensuring punctual pickups, positive conduct, and a welcoming ride each day.

A valid CDL with Passenger and School Bus endorsements is required (or training provided). The role offers competitive pay, ongoing safety training, and the satisfaction of making a real difference in students' lives.

Qualifications

• A valid CDL with Passenger (P) and School Bus (S) endorsements, or willingness to obtain with training support.
• Clean driving record and commitment to safe driving practices.
• Strong interpersonal, reliability, punctuality, and ability to stay calm under pressure.
• Previous professional driving experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate a school bus to and from designated locations, following all traffic laws and district safety protocols.
• Conduct pre- and post-trip inspections to ensure the bus is in safe operating condition.
• Assist students in boarding and exiting the bus.
• Maintain order and a positive atmosphere on the bus, using respectful communication and conflict resolution skills.
• Adjust schedules as needed due to traffic, weather, or special events.
• Report any incidents, mechanical issues, or safety concerns promptly.

Your role directly supports student success by giving families peace of mind and helping our school run smoothly.
