Job summary

Riverside Academy East in Dearborn, MI is seeking a School Bus Driver to safely transport students to and from school. A valid Michigan CDL with passenger and school bus endorsements, plus a high school diploma or GED, are required.

You will maintain a clean, mechanically sound bus, follow all traffic laws, complete trip sheets and inspection reports, and participate in monthly safety meetings to ensure student safety and compliance.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or GED.
• Must possess a valid Michigan CDL with a passenger (P) and a school bus (S) endorsements.
• Must be able to complete all required forms, including trip sheets, pre/post bus inspection sheets, and vehicle inspection reports clearly.
• Must pass background check.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use hands to finger, handle, or feel and talk or hear. The employee is frequently required to sit and/or stand for 8 hours or more. May have to reach with hands and arms. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds

Summary

As a School Bus Driver you will be responsible for safely transporting students to and from school. This role requires strong communication skills, a valid CDL, and a high school diploma or GED. Experience with children, mechanical knowledge, and customer service skills are valuable assets.
