Friendship Centers of Emmet County in Petoskey, Michigan is seeking a dependable Bus Driver to join our Transportation team. This role provides safe, reliable transportation for older adults, helping them stay connected to their community.

The ideal candidate is patient, safety-conscious, and committed to excellent customer service, with a valid Michigan chauffeur's license and a clean driving record. Monday–Friday schedule, starting wage $17.50 per hour.

Qualifications

• Valid Michigan chauffeur’s license is required.
• Ability to safely operate passenger transportation vehicles.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• Dependable attendance and punctuality.
• Ability to meet driver qualification, screening, and safety requirements.
• Previous driving experience or experience working with older adults is preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Safely operate agency vehicles to transport older adults and other eligible passengers to medical appointments, shopping, activities, and other destinations.
• Assist passengers with entering and exiting vehicles, including individuals using mobility devices.
• Properly secure wheelchairs and other mobility equipment in accordance with safety procedures.
• Follow assigned routes, schedules, and transportation instructions.
• Conduct required pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain accurate trip records, mileage logs, and other required documentation.
• Communicate professionally with passengers, dispatch, and other team members.
• Report vehicle concerns, safety issues, incidents, and passenger needs promptly.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and welcoming vehicle environment.
• Follow agency policies, confidentiality requirements, and applicable transportation regulations.
• Assist with other transportation-related duties as assigned.

Position Summary
