Job summary

Transdev in Boston, MA is seeking experienced Mechanics to diagnose, repair, and maintain a fleet of diesel, propane, and electric engine school buses. You will contribute to safety, efficiency, and longevity of vehicles while working with a union payscale

Qualifications

• Three (3) years of experience as a Diesel or Automotive Mechanic.
• Bus or heavy-duty truck repair experience preferred.
• Must be at least 21 years of age.
• ASE certifications in school bus, heavy truck, and/or transit bus preferred.

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic tests using advanced tools and software to troubleshoot diesel, propane, and electric engine issues.
• Perform moderate complexity repairs and replacements on diesel, propane, and electric engine components.
• Assist A-Level Mechanics in advanced diagnostic and repair tasks.
• Execute routine maintenance tasks to prevent breakdowns and optimize diesel engine performance.
• Lead diagnostic tests to identify complex issues and determine repair strategies.

Education

High school diploma or equivalent (G.E.D.)

Automotive Technology or Engineering (degree preferred)
