Job summary

Central Ohio Transit Authority (COTA) is seeking a Coach Cleaner in Columbus, OH to maintain the cleanliness and presentation of our buses. You will clean interiors and exteriors, replenish supplies, and assist with incident drills as part of our safety culture.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, 2 years of relevant maintenance/cleaning experience, and the ability to obtain a Temporary Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements (Regular Class B within 6 months).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 2 years' experience in general maintenance, janitorial or automotive cleaning.
• Ability to obtain Temporary Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake endorsements prior to start date; Regular Class B CDL with Passenger and Airbrake within 6 months.
• Able to read and follow written and oral instructions; adapt to changing priorities.
• Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods.

Responsibilities

• Clean interior of vehicle with broom, cloth, mop, vacuum, and whisk broom.
• Fuel coaches and add various fluids.
• Wash interior surfaces with soap and water.
• Clean exterior of vehicle using wash machine and by hand.
• Move coaches within premises and park in proper locations.
