Description

The primary function of the Bus Cleaner is to perform routine cleaning tasks for the interior and exterior of all Agency vehicles in a safe manner. The role supports ACT's objectives by adhering to all policies and procedures.

Essential Functions

• Cleans vehicle interiors, including mopping floors, washing windows, and vacuuming seats.
• Removes trash and cleans bodily fluids from interiors.
• Cleans and washes the exterior of vehicles as directed.
• Inspects vehicles for body damage and reports findings.
• Stays current on safety and cleaning practices relevant to the Agency.
• Keeps the workplace clean and safe.
• Assists fueling crew with exterior cleaning as needed.
• Monitors safety and security factors within the transit facility and reports concerns.
• Attends work regularly.

Nonessential Functions

• Performs other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Working Conditions and Physical Requirements

Work is primarily inside buses with air conditioning and heat. Exposed to noise, oils, fuels, and weather conditions. Must be able to work beyond standard hours if needed. Physical demands include lifting up to 50 pounds, bending, stooping, kneeling, walking at least a mile, climbing stairs, and standing for extended periods.
