Job summary

Summit School Services is seeking a qualified Mechanic to perform repairs on school buses and related vehicles under supervision. The role involves preventive maintenance, braking, driveline, electrical work, and on-road repairs as part of a safety-focused team.

Qualifications

• Must have hands-on automotive repair experience and basic diagnostic skills.
• Two years of automotive or truck repair experience or vocational training.
• Must be able to obtain necessary state licenses and operate company vehicles.

Responsibilities

• Work under direct supervision to perform repairs on school buses, motor coaches and vehicles.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections and repairs; brake, driveline and electrical work as needed.
• Test-drive and verify repairs; keep maintenance logs and reports up to date.
• Ensure compliance with federal, state, local regulations and company policies.
