Job summary

Zūm Services, Inc. is seeking a school bus attendant to ensure student safety and foster a positive environment during transportation.

This safety-sensitive role requires patience, attentiveness, and the ability to manage student behavior while supporting the bus driver. Responsibilities include assisting students with boarding, monitoring behavior, aiding with special needs (including wheelchair lifts), participating in emergency procedures, and communicating with drivers, parents, and staff.

Qualifications

• This role is classified as a safety-sensitive position.
• Minimum age: 21 years.
• Valid driver's license/identification card/work authorization.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to pass background checks and drug test.
• Ability to work split shifts (AM/PM) daily.
• Experience working with children (preferred).

Responsibilities

• Assist students with boarding and exiting the bus safely.
• Monitor student behavior and maintain order during transit.
• Support students with special needs, including operating wheelchair lifts.
• Assist with emergency evacuations and safety procedures.
• Communicate effectively with drivers, parents, and school staff.
