Job summary

Ballard Community School district currently needs part-time paraprofessionals to work in our Transportation Department in Huxley, Iowa. Para-educator Bus Attendants work approximately 15 hours per week.

Responsibilities include assisting bus drivers, supporting individual or small groups of students, and supervising students during bus rides. The role offers a minimum hourly base rate of $13.85 with potential extra compensation for related experience and education such as a paraprofessional

Qualifications

• Basic understanding of the needs of children.
• Ability to relate to children with different academic and behavioral needs.
• Patience and compassion with children.
• Professional communications skills including active listening, written and oral.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and assist physically active students.
• Ability to take directions and follow policies.

Responsibilities
