Job summary

Mission Critical Group is seeking an entry-level assembler to join our production team in Mississippi. You will assemble copper bus into electrical enclosures, reading schematics and following documented procedures to ensure quality and on-time delivery.

You will use measuring and hand tools, maintain a clean work space, and adhere to safety guidelines. Overtime and standing for long shifts may apply; reliable attendance is expected.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 0–1 year experience assembling copper bus or similar materials.
  • Ability to read schematics and manuals and follow instructions.
  • Strong safety awareness and willingness to follow procedures.
  • Good verbal and written communication skills.

Job Description

This role supports the assembly of copper bus required for electrical equipment. The overall objective of this position is to provide high quality craftsmanship when assembling copper bus and similar conductive material using best in class installation techniques in order to contribute to a team focused on achieving industry leading cycle time, delivering superior quality, and assisting in reducing per unit costs. Consistent andaccuraterepresentation of the Mission Critical Group brand, mission, vision, values, and organizational strategy are essential to achieving the goals of the organization.

Schedule:Monday to Friday 6am to 4pm ORMonday to Friday 7 AM – 5PM

Accountabilities
  • Demonstrate an entry‐level ofproficiencyin executing workmanship on all production projects to include large line‐ups and complex sections in areas of assembling and installing copper bus into enclosures, per drawing packages and instructions defined by the Engineering Department.
  • Install and mount conductive material into electrical enclosures by reading and comprehendingschematics or documents, under supervision and guidance from senior team members, to efficiently build customized equipmentin order tomeet and exceed deadlines.
  • Perform daily tasks with safe and proper use of equipment and tools, including tape measures, drills, hand power tools, overhead cranes, pallet jacks, andsaw horses.
  • Interpret and apply basic knowledge of manufacturing and principles while reading specifications to make determinations on bussing parts, methods, and sequencing.
  • Maintain a safe,cleanand well‐organized work area bycomplying withsafety procedures, rules, quality standards and best practices, and relying on pre‐established guidelines or directions from senior team members to perform tasks optimally.
  • Maintain operational excellence by completing necessary paperwork such as Engineering Corrective Reports, Non‐ conformance Reports, Corrective Action Reports, and Material Transfer Requests.
Qualifications
Required Knowledge / Experience
  • 0-1 year of work experience assembling copperbus, or similar materials, into electrical control equipment in a manufacturing facilityrequired.
  • Production and Processing:Knowledge or raw materials, production processes, quality control, costs, and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
  • Mechanical:Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance. Toolsinclude:screw drivers, ratchet and sockets, crimpers, wiring cutters, tape measures, ban saws, air tools, and inspection mirror.
  • Active Listening:The ability to give full attention to when others speak andtakingtime to understand the points being made; asking questions asappropriate, andnot interrupting at inappropriate times.
  • Verbal & Written Communication Skills:The ability to communicate information and ideas in speaking so others will understand and the ability to communicate information and ideas in writing so others will understand.

  • Math Skills:This position requires intermediate math skills (calculate figures/discounts, proportions, area, etc.)
  • Multi-limb Coordination:The ability to coordinate two or more limbs (for example, two arms, twolegs, orone leg and one arm) while sitting,standingor lying down. It does not involve performing the activities while the whole body is in motion.
  • Near Vision:The ability to see details at close range (within a few feet of the observer).
  • Customer & Service Orientation:The ability toinitiateand actively seek ways to help people.
Education

High School DiplomaorGEDrequired.

Work Environment and Physical Demands
  • This is a FLSA non-exempt position paid on an hourly basis. Overtime may berequiredbased on production demands, including extended shifts, weekends, or holidays.
  • This role is based on the production floor. The position requires standing for extended periods, working around machinery, and adherence to all safety and compliance standards.
  • Mobility: Ability to move around the manufacturing plant, including walking, standing, and climbing stairs.
  • Manual Dexterity: Occasional use of hands to handle or feel objects, tools, or controls.
  • Lifting: Ability to lift and carry items up tofifty(50) pounds. All lifting should be done following OSHA standards.
  • Visual and Auditory Requirements: Must be able to see and hear well enough to navigate the plant safely and communicate effectively with team members.
