Job summary

The Crosby Independent School District is seeking a Bus Aide to assist bus drivers in providing safe, secure and efficient transportation for students and staff, aligning with the district's mission to produce literate, responsible citizens.

The position starts Jul 31, 2026, with a pay grade of $14.00 to $19.58 per hour, non-exempt, 171/10 months, reporting to the Transportation Director. Evening/early hours and required training are included.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Minimum 21 years of age.

Responsibilities

• Assist in transporting children to and from school in a safe, timely manner.
• Maintain route sheets and adapt to schedule changes.
• Operate the bus two-way radio per district policy.
• Inspect vehicles before and after trips with proper procedures.
• Assist in loading/unloading passengers with wheelchair lifts when needed.
• Maintain discipline and communicate effectively with students and staff.
